In the weeks following the July 13th assassination attempt of Former President Trump, more information continues to be released that calls into question the decisions made by the Secret Service.
Documents released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) show that a Secret Service Counter Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) operator was on the personnel list assigned to the July 13, 2024 event in Butler County, Pennsylvania on July 13.
“Recently, I have also obtained video footage of the aftermath of the shooting, in which local law enforcement can be heard discussing drone availability to clear the water tower,” Grassley said.
Grassley demanded to know whether the Secret Service Counter UAS operator was aware of the intrusion by the shooter or not.
“Did the Counter UAS operator deploy countermeasures in response to the unauthorized intrusion? If not, why not? If yes, provide records of the countermeasures deployed,” he said.
Local police officers assigned to the special tactical team assigned to help protect the former president also said they had no contact with Secret Service agents before the allegedly alone gunman opened fire.
“We were supposed to get a face-to-face briefing with the Secret Service members whenever they arrived, and that never happened,” Jason Woods, lead sharpshooter from the SWAT team in nearby Beaver County, Pennsylvania, told ABC News.
“So I think that was probably a pivotal point, where I started thinking things were wrong because it never happened,” Woods said. “We had no communication.”
The Secret Service was ultimately responsible for security at the event and declined to respond to the comment comments made by Woods.
In the wake of the assassination attempt, a series of law-enforcement, internal, and congressional probes have been announced and numerous theories by independent reporters have been made, including that of a second shooter.
Videos on X, purport to show a person on top of the water tower that had the clearest line of sight of where Trump was standing at the rally.

The footage circulating on social media was recorded from a long distance but many have made attempts to determine what the dark figure on top of the tower was.

An independent investigator even surveyed the area of the tower following the shooting and showed how easily a person could reach the top with its attached ladders.

Recently fired Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle, testified that the AGR building where Thomas Crooks allegedly fired the shot that struck former President Trump was too steep to emplace Secret Service agents, yet it was clearly no steeper than the roof the snipers allegedly shot Crooks from.
“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,” Cheatle, said.
Many have questioned if the AGR roof was too steep for Secret Service, who is the person seen on the water tower?
Others claim the man killed on the AGR building roof, who was identified as Thomas Crooks, looks nothing like Crooks based on the images circulating of his body following the shooting.
How many of you are falling for the psyop that the shooter was Thomas Crooks & not Maxwell Yearick? If you compare the graphic photo of the shooter laying on his side with that of mugshots from Yearwick you'll see the closed gauge on his right ear. You'll also notice the eyebrows… pic.twitter.com/GSW6Q0Pd7Q

Numerous private investigators claim the deceased man on the roof was actually Maxwell Yearick, who was previously arrested for threatening Trump.
Yearick’s mugshot photo shows him with gauged ears and X users point out that the deceased man on the AGR roof appears to have them as well, unlike Crooks.
The imagery cannot be added to this report due to its graphic nature but can be viewed on X.
But the rabbit hole doesn’t end there, Tyson Draper, of the Tyson Draper True Crime show alleges the white van that was towed by police from the water tower near the Trump rally on July 13th registered “Yearick Armory & Explosives.”
