Fort Bragg Half Marathon Medal appears in controversial online photo

A controversial selfie posted online by a woman has drawn attention after appearing to show a medal from the 2026 All American Half Marathon at Fort Bragg.

The event features both a half marathon and a 5K and is among Fort Bragg’s most recognizable annual races. Popular within the military community, the race frequently fills all available registration slots before race day. Depending on the year, the race weekend attracts between approximately 1,000 and more than 2,100 runners and walkers.
