Update: Army officer says she was forced out of the Army

The US Army officer allegedly involved in fraternizing with an enlisted soldier has announced that she is no longer serving in the Army.

1st Lieutenant Alana Larcombe revealed her departure after a video surfaced on TikTok showing her in what appeared to be a hotel bed with Army Specialist Cheyanne Rademacher. The video, posted in December, teased potential collaborations between the two. However, no follow-up content emerged until The Salty Soldier reported on the situation this week.

Following the publication, Rademacher, a Practical Nursing Specialist (68C) from Washington State, and Larcombe released a series of TikTok videos. These hinted that the Army disapproved of Larcombe’s apparent fraternization with Specialist Rademacher.

On Tuesday, Rademacher shared a video she claimed was the “collaboration” teased in the initial post. The video depicted the two participating in a fast-food “food challenge” in a parking lot.

The challenge involved competing at rock-paper-scissors-shoot, with the loser running a 50-yard dash while the winner ate as much food as possible in the meantime. The goal was to finish eating before the opponent returned.

Rademacher implied that the release of this video served as a defense against criticisms stemming from the earlier hotel bed clip.

Meanwhile, 1st Lieutenant Larcombe appears to have taken more significant action or possibly faced disciplinary measures. In the early hours of Wednesday, she announced her separation from the Army, adding that she would no longer be active on TikTok.

“Been a crazy ride,” she wrote. “There’s no good to post about it but her.”

Larcombe, a 2020 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer (13A). Her separation from the Army raises questions, as she would have been nearing the end of the mandatory five years of service required of West Point graduates. Her departure appears premature.

Her last publicly known assignment was as a Public Affairs Officer at Fort Sill. The Salty Soldier has reached out to Fort Sill Public Affairs for additional information.

In a separate post on Tuesday, Larcombe announced she was transitioning to a career as a YouTuber and would move all her content to YouTube, marking the end of her TikTok presence.

The circumstances surrounding her departure and the nature of her relationship with Specialist Rademacher remain subjects of speculation and ongoing discussion.
