Soldier’s girlfriend asks for help after he was attacked

An Army Reserve soldier says he was brutally attacked while preparing for an upcoming Army Physical Training test.

Daniel Allison, a Wisconsin Army reservist, says he was attacked while out for a late-night run -around 1 AM- near his home in Milwaukee.

“I just woke up with glasses gone — and then blood gushing,” Allison told the local news.

He spoke to the news from his home, while wearing an Army-issued pair of glasses, and claimed he was approached by a skateboarder who was concealing his face.

“He almost knocked me over and I was like, what the heck? And he started screaming at me, ‘Who the [expletive] are you? What are you doing here? You don’t belong here,’” Allison said.

The skateboarder allegedly hit him in the head, knocking him unconscious.

“He lost consciousness and when he came to, he was disoriented and covered in blood, with a large wound above his eye requiring stitches, a fractured jaw, and occipital bone(back of the skull),” according to a GoFundMe page set up for his girlfriend.

Allison said when he regained consciousness, nothing appeared to be stolen from him. It is not known if he was wearing a reflective vest at the time.

He immediately called his girlfriend, Megan Hart, a 911 dispatcher for the City of Milwaukee.

“The doctors were like, based on the injuries, this was a significant blow to the head. And between the police and the doctors, they believe he was hit upside the head with the skateboard that the gentleman was carrying,” she said.

According to the GoFundMe page, Allision will be wearing a neck collar for six weeks and also be on a liquid diet during that time due to his fractured jaw.

He will not be able to work for a minimum of 6 weeks while recovering.

Almost $3,000 has been donated towards their $5,000 goal so far.
