More than a year has passed since The Salty Soldier raised questions about whether the Air Force overlooked the public social media activity of Air Force Maj. Brittany Curry after concerns about her online conduct were reportedly brought to the attention of military leadership.

At the time, Curry’s TikTok account featured content that many current and former service members considered unusual for a field-grade officer serving in a leadership position. Videos and images reviewed by The Salty Soldier depicted heavy alcohol consumption, crude language, sexually suggestive gestures, and intimate content involving her spouse. The account also blended personal content with Curry’s identity as an Air Force officer, raising questions about professionalism and the expectations placed upon senior military leaders.
The original reporting also highlighted concerns that the content was visible not only to members of the public but also to subordinates and fellow service members. An anonymous former Airman told The Salty Soldier that he had reported Curry’s social media activity through official channels while she was serving as commander of the 336th Training Squadron Detachment 2 at Fort Meade, Maryland. The Air Force has never publicly confirmed those allegations, nor has it publicly disclosed whether any investigation was conducted.
What is publicly known, however, is that Curry’s professional standing appears unchanged.
Today, Curry serves as Director of Operations for Public Affairs at Space Systems Command (SSC), one of the Space Force’s most important field commands. SSC is responsible for acquiring and fielding many of the military’s most critical space capabilities, including GPS satellites, missile warning systems, military communications satellites, and other programs that support national defense and global military operations.
The command plays a central role in ensuring U.S. space superiority and oversees billions of dollars in acquisition programs that directly impact warfighters around the globe. SSC personnel routinely work alongside military leaders, government officials, and industry partners on some of the nation’s most consequential space initiatives.
In her role, Curry helps oversee the communications efforts that shape how the command presents itself to Congress, the media, industry stakeholders, and the American public.
Since The Salty Soldier’s original reporting, Curry has continued appearing in official military media products. In September 2025, she was featured in a Space Systems Command video discussing Disney’s Elio and its connection to military families.
The video was part of SSC’s broader communications efforts and included Curry alongside other Guardians and Airmen representing the command.
Her visibility extends beyond video appearances.
In April 2026, Curry was credited as a co-author of an official Department of War article announcing the successful launch and orbital delivery of GPS III-8, the final satellite in the Space Force’s GPS III constellation. The GPS network provides positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities relied upon by U.S. military forces operating around the globe. The satellites support everything from precision-guided weapons and military aircraft to troop movements, communications networks, and countless civilian applications that depend on GPS technology every day.
The article highlighted the work of Space Systems Command, the organization responsible for acquiring and fielding many of the nation’s most important military space capabilities. Beyond GPS, the command oversees programs involving missile warning and missile tracking satellites, military communications systems, launch operations, and other technologies that form the backbone of America’s space enterprise. The command plays a critical role in ensuring U.S. military forces maintain access to the space-based capabilities that modern warfare increasingly depends upon.
It is within that environment that Curry continues to serve as a senior public affairs leader. As Director of Operations for Public Affairs, she helps shape how one of the military’s most important space organizations communicates with Congress, the media, industry partners, and the American public.

The continued public prominence of Curry raises questions about accountability and professional standards within the military communications community. While junior enlisted personnel and officers are routinely reminded that their online conduct reflects upon the armed forces, Curry remains one of the most visible public affairs officers within the Space Force acquisition enterprise despite the controversy that surrounded her social media presence.
To date, neither the Department of the Air Force nor Space Systems Command has publicly announced any disciplinary action, administrative findings, or investigative conclusions related to the concerns first reported by The Salty Soldier in 2025.
More than a year later, the social media controversy that once generated criticism from service members appears to have largely faded from public discussion. Curry, however, remains a public-facing representative of the Department of the Air Force and continues helping shape the message presented to the American people through official military communications.
