An Army drill sergeant assigned to Fort Sill has been convicted of sexual harassment following a general court-martial, according to official military court records.
Staff Sgt. George L. Singleton, a drill sergeant with F Battery, 1st Battalion, 31st Field Artillery, was found guilty on Jan. 8, 2026, of two specifications of sexual harassment in violation of Article 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
The conviction came after a panel with enlisted representation returned mixed findings at the conclusion of the trial.
Singleton was acquitted of several other charges, including five specifications of abusive sexual contact, one additional specification of sexual harassment, and one specification of prohibited activities with a trainee by a person in a position of special trust. Those charges were brought under Articles 120, 134, and 93a of the UCMJ.
The panel sentenced Singleton to two months of confinement and a bad-conduct discharge from the U.S. Army.
The court-martial was convened under the authority of the U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence, with proceedings held at Fort Sill. Earlier hearings in the case included an arraignment and pretrial motions conducted in 2025.
Publicly available information reviewed by The Salty Soldier indicates Singleton was serving as a drill sergeant at Fort Sill during the period relevant to the case. Army officials have not released additional details about the conduct underlying the charges.
