Fort Bragg, NC — The Army has confirmed that Sgt. Damon Moody, an active-duty Soldier stationed at Fort Bragg, is under investigation after a former Soldier accused him of having a relationship with his still-legally-married wife and participating in commercially produced adult content with her.
Former Army Soldier Daniel Ashley alleges Moody began a relationship with his wife, Kelly Ashley, after the couple separated but before their marriage had legally ended.
Daniel further alleges Moody appeared with Kelly in commercial adult content distributed online while Moody remained on active duty.
The evidence is too graphic to show here, but readers can view the material supporting Daniel’s allegation at TheSaltySoldierUncensored.com
XVIII Airborne Corps confirmed Moody’s current status and acknowledged an ongoing investigation.
“We can confirm Sgt. Damon Moody is currently stationed on Fort Bragg. As a matter of policy, we cannot comment on an ongoing investigation,” XVIII Airborne Corps told The Salty Soldier.
The Army declined to say what Moody is being investigated for and has not confirmed that the investigation involves Daniel’s allegations.
Those allegations, however, are now backed by a clearer timeline than when they were first reported.
In a verified divorce complaint filed Aug. 25 in Cumberland County District Court, Kelly states that she and Daniel married in January 2018 and separated on Aug. 17, 2025.
Daniel remained on active duty until Aug. 30, 2025, placing the beginning of the couple’s separation while he was still serving in the Army.
Kelly states in the complaint that the couple has lived continuously apart since their separation. She is now seeking an absolute divorce, custody of the couple’s three children and division of their marital property.
The divorce remains pending.
Daniel alleges Moody entered the picture during that period of separation.
Public social media reviewed by The Salty Soldier shows Kelly promoting commercial adult-content platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), OnlyFans and Pornhub. Those accounts contain explicit videos featuring a male participant.
Daniel identifies that man as Moody.
The identity of the male appearing in the videos has not been independently established.
Public social media also shows Moody in an Army uniform associated with the 82nd Airborne Division and depicts Moody and Kelly publicly presenting themselves as a couple.

Daniel says he reported both the relationship and the adult-content allegations to the Army.
Correspondence provided by Daniel appears to show an Army noncommissioned officer acknowledging receipt of court documents and advising that the material would be sent to the 82nd Airborne Division Judge Advocate for review.
“I received the photos of the court documents,” the NCO wrote. “I will have to package them and have them reviewed by 82nd JAG to confirm whether this is credible evidence to move forward with the inappropriate relationship complaint.”
When Daniel’s allegations were first reported, it was unclear whether the Army opened a formal investigation or what became of his complaint.
That is no longer the case.
XVIII Airborne Corps has now confirmed Moody is under investigation.
What remains unanswered is whether the investigation is tied to Daniel’s complaint, the alleged relationship, the adult-content allegations, or something else entirely.
The case is also unfolding against a complicated family and legal backdrop.
In September 2025, Kelly sought emergency custody of the couple’s three children. A district court judge later awarded her temporary emergency custody while limiting Daniel to supervised visitation.
The temporary custody order included findings concerning Daniel’s history of alcohol and drug abuse and stated that he was participating in rehabilitation at the time. Daniel was not present for the hearing that resulted in the temporary order.
That custody case was later dismissed after neither party appeared for permanent custody proceedings. Kelly has now raised custody again as part of the divorce case she filed in August.
Daniel also faced Cumberland County criminal charges for assault on a female, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and cyberstalking.
All three charges were dismissed by prosecutors on Sept. 2, ending the cases without a conviction or guilty plea. The dismissal records do not cite insufficient evidence as the reason and instead reference a restraining order or agreement between the parties.
Daniel does have unrelated criminal cases pending in Wake County, including misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct charges stemming from a June incident. A separate Wake County traffic case also remains pending. Those matters are unrelated to his allegations against Moody.
Daniel has disputed the allegations made against him.
The developments come as several key pieces of the original story have become clearer.
Kelly and Daniel separated on Aug. 17, 2025, according to Kelly’s verified divorce complaint. Daniel remained on active duty until Aug. 30. Kelly has since formally filed for divorce, but the marriage has not yet been dissolved.
Sgt. Damon Moody is currently stationed at Fort Bragg.
And the Army has confirmed Moody is under investigation.
What the Army still will not say is why.
XVIII Airborne Corps has declined to discuss the nature or scope of the investigation. The Army has not confirmed whether Moody is being investigated over his relationship with Kelly, his alleged participation in adult content, Daniel’s complaint, or an unrelated matter.
The male appearing with Kelly in explicit content has also not been independently identified as Moody.
An investigation is not a finding of misconduct.
But the story has changed significantly since Daniel’s allegations first surfaced. Kelly has now filed for divorce, the Cumberland County criminal charges against Daniel have been dismissed, and the Soldier Daniel identified in his complaint is now confirmed as Sgt. Damon Moody, an active-duty Soldier stationed at Fort Bragg who is under investigation.
The Salty Soldier will continue reporting developments as additional information becomes available.
