This is the most inappropriate (and hilarious) Memorial Day scene ever filmed

There are some things only veterans truly get—the dark humor, the buried trauma, the inside jokes that would land us in a padded cell if civilians overheard. It’s not that we can’t talk about it with each other… it’s just that we usually don’t. And when we do, it’s with an absurdity that would make sense only to someone who’s been there, done that, and got the issued t-shirt.

Kill, Die, Laugh by VET Tv is a series that doesn’t just tap into that space—it kicks the damn door open.

Now in its third season, Kill, Die, Laugh has become a cult hit in the veteran community for its unapologetic, gut-punch humor and raw honesty. It’s not for civilians. Hell, most veterans would struggle to explain it to their own families. And that’s the point.

“Making light of the usually serious things that happen in the military, we hold a mirror up to the chain of command in an attempt to unravel the hypocrisy within its ranks,” says VET Tv in the show’s official description. “It may not have been the most pleasant experience, and many carry that with them for the rest of their lives, but here is the show where you can let loose, laugh, and have a sense of pride over that time of your life.”

This isn’t just slapstick military parody. Kill, Die, Laugh walks the razor’s edge between comedy and catharsis. It gets under your skin in a way that few shows dare. One minute you’re choking on your beer laughing, the next you’re hit with a gut-check that reminds you of that one friend, that one memory, that one deployment you keep buried.

“The first part of the last video brought me the closest I’ve ever been to crying. I fucking love you guys,” one veteran wrote after watching an episode.

The series isn’t afraid to hit the real stuff—PTSD, survivor’s guilt, loss. In one episode, Iraq War vets come across a Vietnam veteran grieving at a friend’s grave on Memorial Day. What unfolds is a scene that’s equal parts deeply inappropriate, painfully real, and somehow hilarious. And it works—because it’s us.

“LMAO I had to watch over. I missed half of it because I was laughing so hard,” another vet wrote.

“Cannot get enough of your shows,” another added. “Keep up the great work. Thank you for doing what you do.”

The success of Kill, Die, Laugh isn’t a fluke. It’s a mirror held up to the lives we’ve lived, with all the darkness, dysfunction, and pride wrapped up in it. It’s proof that we can own our stories—flaws, fire, and all—and still find a reason to laugh.
