An Air Force non-commissioned officer racked up over 40 million views on a video about working security at an Air Force base.

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. William Page, a 420th Air Base Squadron Security Forces flight sergeant, is also a Military Content Creator who pokes fun at all aspects of life in the Air Force.

On Friday, the Air Force officially endorsed his comedy and social media by producing a video about him and his social media channels.

The Air Force release did not state their intentions for endorsing his content but the Department of Defense has recently acknowledged the power of using influencers in their recruiting efforts.

Page’s most viewed video on YouTube featured a skit about interacting with retired military officers while working as a security forces Airman at a base entry point.

In 2024, there is no way to limit the amount of material being published online about military life so it’s possible the Air Force concluded satire is the best way to make criticism of the military more approachable.

During the video, produced by TSgt Jessica Avallone, Staff Sgt. William Page says he began making civilian content on YouTube before he joined the Air Force but switched to making military comedy content in 2020.

“I joined and did the military thing and it’s been working for me so far,” he said.

Page says he’s not creating content for clout and has no problem taking down content when he is instructed to.

He enjoys “making related content” that uses comedy to help servicemembers when it comes to “embracing that suck.”
