Editor’s note: To avoid any possible retribution for using specific terms deemed to be controversial, this article uses “procedure” to address the topic.
A military police officer has come forward to expose something she says the Army made her do and it resulted in the end of her military career.
Sergeant Kyle says when the Department of Defense mandated all military members receive a procedure sometime between 2020 and 2021, she had no choice but to do it or face expulsion.
“I’m a very firm believer that we do not get choices in the military,” Kyle said.
When the Army issued the new mandate, she complied and ended up receiving the procedure twice.
As with most orders in the Army, there is no room for discussion or questions unless something wrong occurs because of those orders.
“I’ve been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder,” she said in 2023.
Kyle says the disorder will require her to take “blood thinners” for the rest of her life.
The diagnosis was a huge shock to her.
Kyle says she had just bought a house in Texas after being newly assigned to Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos).
“I bought a house; I did all this stuff and you know my last day in the Army will be in approximately three weeks,” she said at the time.
She could have chosen to be medically retired from the Army by going through the medical board process but she chose to put in a claim with the Department of Veteran Affairs instead, she explained.
“I already started my VA claim and things like that so I went that route,” she said.
The Salty Soldier has reached out to her for more information about her experience.
