WICHITA, Kan. — A senior airman assigned to McConnell Air Force Base is facing a widening set of legal troubles that span a pending general court-martial, multiple civil lawsuits, and a recent county jail booking, according to military case listings, court filings, and jail records reviewed by The Salty Soldier.
Randall Race Thomas Moore Jr., 26, has served in the U.S. Air Force since 2018 and remains on active duty, according to an affidavit of military service filed in Sedgwick County court records. Despite nearly seven years of service, Moore holds the rank of senior airman, a relatively junior enlisted rank for that length of time in service. His publicly accessible social media identifies him as an aircraft maintainer. Moore is currently assigned to McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas, where he is scheduled to face a general court-martial next year on multiple charges involving minors.
According to Air Force court-martial records, Moore is charged in U.S. v. Senior Airman R. Moore, a general court-martial scheduled to begin Jan. 26, 2026, at McConnell AFB.
The charges include:
- Two specifications of Article 120b, Sexual abuse of a child
- Article 131b, Obstructing justice
- Article 134, Child pornography (possession, receipt, viewing)
- Article 134, Indecent conduct
Local media previously identified Moore as the airman charged in a military case involving allegations of sexual abuse of minors and child pornography.
According to reporting by KWCH and the Butler County Times-Gazette, investigators allege the offenses involved two minors Moore met through a local church and a third individual he met online. One allegation states Moore offered alcohol to a minor and pressured them to drink it. Another involved alleged sexual advances toward a victim identified as a 13-year-old boy.
Moore’s publicly accessible social media shows him as an active member of Temple Baptist Church in Wichita, where videos depict him serving as the church’s pianist. According to the reports, when the alleged abuse was brought forward, a pastor at the church initiated an internal inquiry before notifying McConnell Air Force Base officials, prompting a military investigation.

The reports further allege Moore sent nude photographs and images of himself in his underwear to two of the victims. Moore has not been convicted, and all allegations remain pending before a military court.
Separate from the military proceedings, Sedgwick County court records show Moore was the defendant in an eviction case filed in May 2025 by his former landlord.
In court filings, Moore admitted he failed to pay rent for February through May 2025, totaling $2,797, with an additional $445 in late fees, for a claimed balance of $3,242. He denied causing damage to the property.

In written submissions to the court, Moore stated he did not earn enough in the Air Force to keep up with the accumulating debt, writing that he was “constantly in overdraft just to be able to live” and that ongoing personal issues required therapy, which he said the stress of eviction worsened.
Court records show Moore failed to appear for a scheduled bench trial. A default judgment for eviction was entered on May 19, 2025, followed by a writ of restitution restoring possession of the property to the landlord.
On Dec. 17, 2025, the same landlord filed a new civil lawsuit seeking $9,235 for unpaid rent, late charges, interest, and court costs related to the tenancy. That case remains pending.
In his court filings, Moore stated he had exhausted all financial resources and was prohibited from obtaining secondary employment while on active duty.
However, Moore’s publicly accessible social media presents a different picture. On May 28, 2025, he posted about moving into a new residence and having a grand piano professionally moved, writing that he hoped to resume livestream performances.
On the same day the civil debt lawsuit was filed, Sedgwick County jail records show Moore was booked on Dec. 17, 2025, on two counts related to a fraudulent insurance act under Kansas law. Bond was set at $5,000.
At the time this article was first published, court records related to Moore’s insurance fraud booking were not yet available. Those records have since been obtained by The Salty Soldier and are detailed in a follow-up report here:
Moore’s most serious legal exposure remains the pending general court-martial, scheduled for early 2026 at McConnell Air Force Base. His civil debt lawsuit remains active in Sedgwick County, and the status of the insurance fraud arrest has not yet appeared on the public criminal docket.
The Salty Soldier has submitted a request witht the Air Force for more information regarding his court martial.
