Newly obtained court documents reveal disturbing details about the crimes a Fort Carson sergeant first class is accused of committing. Sergeant First Class Marquez Parker is facing multiple felony charges after a nine-month investigation uncovered more than 7,000 images and videos of alleged child sexual exploitation.
Among the files recovered from Parker’s phone were videos showing him engaged in sexual intercourse with a juvenile female who investigators described as “younger looking” and not yet identified.
According to court records obtained by The Salty Soldier, Parker, 38, of Fountain, Colorado, was arrested last week and charged with one felony count of possession of child sexual exploitation material and another felony count of distribution. Investigators from several agencies believe Parker may have personally produced some of the illegal material found on his devices.

Metadata associated with several seized files suggests portions were recorded in residential areas of Colorado Springs. Investigators have not yet determined exact locations or identified several of the victims. Public records indicate Parker has lived at 7758 Sandy Springs Point in Fountain since January 2024. Although investigators have not confirmed whether any offenses occurred at that residence, court records show it is where a search warrant was executed and his electronic devices were seized.
The case began in February after a Fountain Police Department detective received a report that child sexual abuse material had been exchanged over Facebook Messenger in October 2023. Search warrants carried out in February and March led authorities to devices allegedly containing thousands of illicit files.
One of the videos referenced in the investigation is described in court records but is too graphic to disclose publicly.
Investigators also uncovered messages in which Parker and a woman in another state appeared to discuss allowing Parker to sexually assault her 12-year-old daughter in exchange for goods and food.
Fort Carson’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) became involved early in the investigation and later asked to assume lead agency responsibilities. Their involvement increased following a March 17, 2025, search of Parker’s residence, where additional devices were seized. On those devices, a Fountain detective reported finding evidence suggesting Parker was not only trading and possessing child sexual abuse material, but also producing it with unidentified juvenile victims.
CID then sought assistance from the FBI and the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, led by the Colorado Springs Police Department. Some of the seized electronics remain under forensic analysis at Fort Hood, Texas, where investigators believe additional files may contain victims from the Colorado Springs area. The FBI is also investigating the out-of-state woman believed to have discussed trafficking her daughter to Parker.
Parker is assigned to the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. A Fort Carson spokesperson confirmed he has served nearly 15 years in the Army and has received the Meritorious Service Medal and 12 other awards.
According to El Paso County court records, Parker is scheduled to appear in court on December 1, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. for a Return Filing of Charges hearing, during which prosecutors formally present charges to the court.
A sworn affidavit from an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office detective states that CID arrested Parker under UCMJ authority but has not yet referred charges. “The United States Army has not placed any restrictions on Parker, and he remains free as long as he continues to report for duty,” the detective wrote.
Court records confirm Parker is not currently being held in the El Paso County Jail.
