ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — A U.S. Air Force airman stationed at Holloman Air Force Base has been reported missing after vanishing from the Alamogordo area on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
28-year-old Isaiah Morningstar was last seen around 1:00 p.m. at the Staples store on White Sands Boulevard. Surveillance footage then captured him at a Circle K gas station just ten minutes later. That would be the last confirmed sighting of him.
Morningstar is described as 5’10”, approximately 160 pounds, with hazel eyes and a bald head. He wears glasses, has a scar on his upper left arm near the shoulder, and a tattoo of a crow on the inside of his right arm. He was believed to be driving a 2017 Buick Regal Sport with New Mexico license plate APXA50.
Morningstar’s mother, Sara Benson, has been actively sharing updates online and has since flown to New Mexico to join the search. In a Facebook post dated July 25, she wrote:
“Hello, my son is stationed at Holloman AFB and is missing. OSI, local PD, State Patrol and Sheriffs Dept are all aware and actively trying to find him with no luck so far. Hoping someone has seen him or his car 🙏”
On July 26, she posted again, urging others to help:
“If anyone wants to help me look for Isaiah, I’m flying there tomorrow. Not sure on hotels in the area but Alamogordo has a few, and Holloman AFB has one if you’re military. I will be sleeping at Isaiah’s house.”
In a video on TikTok, Benson added that she received a “terrifying” call from Mexico after his disappearance. While she suspects it may have been a scam, she reported it to Air Force OSI out of caution.
At this time, no credible leads have surfaced, and law enforcement has not released additional details about any potential foul play.
