Staff Sgt. Chelsea Samatra, a decorated Army noncommissioned officer stationed in Hawaii, has denied any connection to a series of anonymous images circulating online—images that included nude photographs posted alongside a separate image of Staff Sgt. Samatra in uniform.
Samatra, currently assigned to the 25th Infantry Division on the island of O‘ahu, has become a widely recognized figure on social media, with more than 138,000 TikTok followers and over 150,000 on Instagram. Her content often showcases motorcycle rides through Hawaii, off-duty lifestyle moments, and regular photos of herself in uniform—making her a highly visible face of Army service.
In the previous version of this article, The Salty Soldier reviewed claims that explicit images posted anonymously online might be linked to the staff sergeant. The images posted to Reddit included a nude photo set posted in conjunction with a separate image of Samatra wearing her Army uniform—clearly implying that the person responsible for sharing the content was attempting to associate the images with her identity.

However, after a detailed review, The Salty Soldier noted several inconsistencies that cast doubt on the authenticity of the claim. Most notably, the woman in the nude photos has no visible tattoos, including the absence of an under-breast tattoo that Samatra has publicly displayed in Instagram posts for over two years. While the individual in the nude images is wearing a necklace similar to one seen in her verified posts, the lack of facial confirmation and tattoo mismatches make the connection questionable at best.
Given Samatra’s prominent online presence—and the high number of images she shares in uniform—it is possible that someone with a similar body type is attempting to imitate her or exploit her likeness to gain attention or credibility in adult spaces.
Following the original article, Samatra issued a direct response to The Salty Soldier, writing:
“Good afternoon, your recent post has been brought to my attention and that picture is not of me. This will be my first attempt to tell you to cease any future posts with my name in it or I will be taking legal action. Thank you for understanding.”
A Public Figure in Uniform
A native of Kaua‘i, Samatra joined the Army in 2017 as a 36B (financial management technician). She deployed to Kuwait in 2019, earned an Army Commendation Medal, and later graduated as an honor graduate from the Fort Jackson NCO Academy in 2021. Her rise in popularity began in 2023 when a viral TikTok captioned “Wait, you’re in the Army?” introduced her to a national audience.

Since then, she’s been known for her scenic motorcycle videos, lifestyle content, and for representing the image of a modern female NCO—strong, confident, and unfiltered—in and out of uniform.
Denial Stands, No Official Action Reported
As of this publication, Samatra has not been accused of any misconduct, and there is no indication that the Army is pursuing disciplinary action. Her statement rejecting any connection to the anonymous images stands firm, and The Salty Soldier will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if warranted.
